Childcare Ministries
Our day care facility can now provide continuous care for infants through fifth grade.
Director of Childcare Services
Pam DeMoss came to the B.A.S.E. program in January of 1990. She has helped to create a Childcare program which now has thirty-two Infant-Toddlers, thirty-two 2-3 year-olds, and twenty-four 4 year-olds. The After-School Program has grown to accommodate 115 children. Pam has 3 children, Andrew, Patrick and Nathan. Pam's diligent efforts are greatly appreciated and help to make this program a successful one.
Assistant Director of Childcare Services
Susan Ball came to B.A.S.E. as a Pre-School teacher in 1996. She later accepted the title of Assistant Director. She is also the head Pre-School Teacher for the 4 year-olds. Susan received her certification in early childhood development from the Cabell County Career Center. She is furthering her education in Early Child Development at Marshall University. She has two boys, Zachary and Tyler.
Cabell County Pre-K Teacher for 4 year-olds
Janna Hardman graduated from Marshall Universithy with her degree in Elementary Education in May, 2007. She came to Huntington from Buckhannon, WV and came back in 2003. Her passions in life are working with children and animals. She has been working with the children for the past six years and she has always had animals in her life. She currently has a dog, a cat, 4 ferretts, a turtle and a tank of fish.
Supervisor for Infants and Toddlers
Teresa Woodall began working at Cross Roads In-To program in 2000. She has completed the ACDS class and is furthering her education at Marshall University. She has three children and 2 grandchildren.
Our Cook and Food Program
Teresa Smith began working at Cross Roads as an infant teacher in 2001 and eventually became the cook for the childcare. She serves the children nutrional snacks and meals and is a wonderful cook.
Our programs are as follows:
Infant-Toddler Care for children 3 months - 2 years, Monday thur Friday 7:00am-6:00 pm. The fee for this care is $120.00 per week.
Preschool Classes for 4 year old children, Monday thur Thursday 8:00am - 12:30 p.m. The fee for this care is $75.00 per month.
Full day care for 2, 3, & 4 year old children, Monday thru Friday, 7:00am-5:30pm The fee for this care is 2 year olds ($100.00 a week); 3 year olds ($90.00 a week); and 4 year olds (80.00 a week).
Before School Care, Monday thru Friday 7:00am-8:00am. The fee for this care is $10.00 a week.
After School Care, Monday thru Friday 3:00pm-6:00pm. The fee for this care is $40.00 a week.
There is a $15.00 registration fee for each child for each program. Summer fees are 1 Child $80.00/week, 2 children $130.00/week, 3 Children $180.00/week. There is a one time activity fee of $75.00 at the beginning of the summer for all the field trips.
